America's favourite Blue Collar comedian will hit the Palace Theater, Myrtle Beach on Saturday 1st November 2008.
With his signature catchphrase, "Git-R-Done", Larry the Cable Guy is selling out theatres and arenas across the United States.
Larry is best known as one of the stars of the highly popular Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which grossed more than $15 million and included top comedians Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall. The tour’s success led to Blue Collar Comedy Tour, The Movie, which premiered on Comedy Central in 2003 and at the time was the highest-rated movie in the channel’s history. The DVD has since sold more than 4 million units. The sequel Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again, has sold more than 3 million units and is the 3rd most watched telecast in Comedy Central’s history. In 2006, the Blue Collar boys reunited to shoot Blue Collar Comedy Tour, One For The Road which had its world premiere on Comedy Central, again receiving some of the highest ratings as well as a 2007 Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album.
In addition to his live concerts, Larry has a very successful career onscreen. He was the most popular voice in the Golden Globe-winning animated feature Cars, playing the role of "Mater". He’s also starred in the films Delta Farce and Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, as well as the WB sketch comedy series Blue Collar TV in 2004 , which drew in 5.4 million viewers and was the second most-watched show on television in its time period. Larry is currently co-starring in Witless Protection with Jenny McCarthy and Eric Roberts.
Larry has released numerous #1 comedy albums which have reached gold and platinum status time and time again; has won Billboard’s 2005 Comedy Artist of the Year and Comedy Album of the Year; was featured on Forbes Celebrity 100 list and in 2006 received the Billboard Top Comedy Tour Award. In 2006 Forbes also named him the highest-earning stand-up artist of the year.
